We examine traffic to every page to determine what percentage of visitors see that page and how long these visitors stay on each page. Such analysis allows us to better determine which search engines are working for you and which ones need more attention. The most important visitors are those who actually make contact with you. In the above example our analysis shows us that this client converts 5.2% of his visitor traffic into possible customers. The average conversion ratio of sites that are working well, is between 1% to 5%. This means that between 1 to 5 visitors out of every 100 visitors should be communicating with you either by making an online purchase or by filling in your online form. We also see that the traffic that filled out the online form in the example above spent almost 800% longer on the site than all other traffic. We manage over 50 Web sites and on all of them, visitors who purchase stay an average of between 500% to 1000% longer than all other visitors. This tells us that your Web site content is critical to the success of your Web site. Visitors who make a purchase from you are taking the time to examine your entire site and to read almost all your content. The better we can define these types of visitors, the more such visitors we can attract to your site. Conversely, we can also determine which types of visitors are NOT buying and make adjustments to appeal to them as well, perhaps by adding additional content or by modifying certain pages to allow easier navigation. We can tell you how effective your paid Internet advertising is and how many visitors any of your online ads are sending to your site. In the above example, we see that not only is the client wasting his money on his online yellow pages ad, but of the few visitors who do come, they stay only 8 seconds on his site. Our recommendation was for the client NOT to renew his online yellow pages ad for next year. What keywords do visitors use to find you in the search engines?
We are also able to view which keywords visitors are using in the French or English search engines to find your site on the Internet. We determine if these keywords are targeted to your "best client profile" and make adjustments accordingly. Visitors have no value unless they do business with you, so we also need to know which of the above keywords actually generated contacts/purchases from visitors.
